Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
4 hamburger buns
Optional toppings: Lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo etc
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat a grill to medium heat
Step 2: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
Step 3: Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper
Step 4: Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or cooked to your taste.
Step 5: During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cover the grill to allow the cheese to melt.
Step 6: Toast the buns on the grill for 30-60 seconds
Step 7: Assemble the cheeseburgers by placing the cooked patty on a bun, topped with desired toppings.

Note:
You can also cook the burgers in a pan on the stovetop or in the oven. If using the oven, preheat to 425 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes or until fully cooked.
